DETROIT – Henry Ford Health announced Tuesday morning that it has completed a joint venture with Ascension Michigan.
The healthcare company announced a partnership at Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit, officially called Ascension St. John Hospital.
As a result of the joint venture, Henry Ford now has 55,000 employees at more than 550 locations throughout Michigan, 12 acute care hospitals, three behavioral health facilities, an orthopedic and sports medicine facility, and multiple It was announced that the city has a cancer treatment facility.
Henry Ford Health contacted patients this week to let them know they can still see their doctors, make appointments and visit their usual facilities.
Henry Ford Health said it will continue to provide faith-based care at the former Ascension Hospital in Michigan while maintaining its Catholic identity. For example, Grand Blanc’s Ascension Genesis will be rebranded as Henry Ford Genesis.
