Hendrix Regional Health has promoted its controller and finance director to chief financial officer.
Andrew Pyle began his new role on Aug. 10, the health system announced in a news release.
“For six years, Andrew has been part of our leadership team and has helped Hendrix achieve several milestones, including the implementation of a single electronic health record system, opening new hospitals and responding to the COVID-19 pandemic,” president and CEO Michelle Fenafti said in a news release. “Andrew is exceptionally well-suited for the CFO role not only because of his organizational knowledge and healthcare finance expertise, but also his mindset. For Andrew, patients and community come first.”
Pyle replaces Stan Risser, who left Hendricks to relocate to Fort Wayne to become deputy chief financial officer at Parkview Health.
Pyle joined Hendricks in 2018 after holding roles at Calumet Specialty Products Partners and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in accounting and is a member of the Indiana Society of Certified Public Accountants and the state chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
“For me, this is a coming-back-to-home moment,” Pyle said. “My family started here at Hendrix. My medical career began at Hendrix. I’ve learned so much from so many people over the years. Mentoring others, sharing knowledge and always putting the patient first is just one of the things that makes our culture so unique.”
Hendricks Regional Health operates hospitals in Danville and Brownsburg, as well as urgent care facilities and other clinics across west-central Indiana.
