I am very satisfied with my new shaved ice machine. I make my own flavored shaved ice at least once a day, and sometimes it’s my lunch. It was not possible to maintain a consistent texture of the ice. Sometimes the texture is like delicious shaved snow, and sometimes like shaved ice. Either way, it’s still delicious!
Please use the included round cup of ice. I tried just regular ice and it worked fine, but it’s not fine-grained ice, it’s very crunchy. If you like munching on ice, that might work for you. It turned out to be 12 oz. Styrofoam cups fit perfectly into this machine.
I’ve become quite an expert at making the perfect cup. Fill the cup a quarter full and tap the cup on the counter to add a little flavoring. Continue this until it is full. Shaved ice, tap cups, flavored shaved ice, tap cups, flavors, etc. Using this method, each round ice cube will make one 12 0z cup.
