CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Jayden Craig threw for 217 yards and three touchdowns and Harvard University dominated with a 35-0 win over Stetson University on Saturday in its season opener.
The Crimson scored on their first drive of the game and were unchallenged afterwards, with Craig throwing a 43-yard touchdown pass to Scott Woods II on a seven-play, 85-yard drive.
Harvard held Stetson to three straight outs, forcing a punt. Woods returned a 32-yard punt 27 yards to the Stetson 20-yard line. He then ran 15 yards to help Shane McLaughlin on a 4-yard scoring run.
On Stetson’s follow-up drive, Mitchell Gonser intercepted a Tripp Maxwell pass and returned it 37 yards to give Harvard a 21-0 lead just before the midway point of the first quarter.
Craig threw a 24-yard scoring pass to Ryan Osborne seven seconds before halftime and added a 25-yard scoring pass to Cooper Burkate in the third quarter.
Harvard held Stetson to 101 total yards.
