Hannah Kobayashi, the Hawaiian photographer who mysteriously disappeared last month, has returned to the United States, according to a new report.
According to a report from TMZ, Kobayashi returned to California in good health after fleeing to Mexico.
The gossip site noted that she was not under any duress and was met in California by a lawyer rather than her family.
The 30-year-old missed her flight from LAX to New York last month and sent strange text messages to her family, sparking a massive search operation. The strange case took a tragic turn on November 24 when her father committed suicide after searching in vain for her.
Kobayashi’s family last heard from her on November 11, when she flew from her hometown of Maui to Los Angeles, where she was scheduled to fly to New York to visit her aunt and sightsee with her ex-girlfriend. It was a day later.
During that period, her friends and family received a series of alarming texts from her cell phone.
“Deep hackers erased my identity, stole all my funds, and have been making me anxious since Friday,” a text message to a friend said. Another said: “I was tricked into giving away all my funds… to someone I thought I loved.”
Another wrote: “I’m so scared, if love and sequoias were calling me, I’d be there, I’d be led there, like you were before.” I know… if this doesn’t work out for me, I’ll risk my freedom” Hmph. ”
Former roommate Alisa Peterson told the Post that she was concerned that the message might actually be from Kobayashi, who followed an account on Instagram for the mystical love cult known as Twin Flame. spoke.
“What was most concerning was the use of the word ‘hun’. She does say such loving words, but her message felt kind of cryptic,” said Peterson, who last spoke to her on Oct. 5.
Officials said Kobayashi was last seen on November 12 as she boarded a bus bound for the border in Baja California, Mexico. Los Angeles police said there was evidence she was traveling alone and classified the case as a “voluntary disappearance.”
It is still unclear what Kobayashi, who has not spoken publicly, was doing in Mexico.
Sadly, her father, Ryan Kobayashi, 58, died after falling from a parking lot at Los Angeles International Airport after she went missing.
