CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WKEF) — The Humane Society of Greater Dayton prepares to launch an upscale resale boutique aimed at providing a fun, upscale shopping experience while helping fund the nonprofit’s programs. I am.
Dayton Humane & Co. is scheduled to open in March in the former Marshalls store at Crosspoint Shopping Center in Centerville. The Humane Society of Greater Dayton said there will be furniture and home decor as well as clothing and accessories on display. Shelter officials say each item for sale is carefully selected to create a boutique-like atmosphere.
All profits from the store will be reinvested to support Greater Dayton Humane Society’s programs, including animal rescue, community outreach, abuse and neglect investigations, spay/neuter services, veterinary care, and other initiatives.
“Dayton Humane & Company is more than just a store. We are a movement to shop with purpose,” said Brian Weltge, president and CEO of the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. “By offering high-end items in a stylish environment, we are elevating the resale experience while funding programs that save lives and strengthen communities. It’s the shopping that really makes a difference.”
The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is currently accepting donations at its new store at 101 East Alex Bell Road in Centerville on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donations can be dropped off at the back door of the store.
