Famous social media stars and former business partners Grant Cardone and Gary Brekka have agreed to mediation to deal with the federal lawsuit filed by Cardone Ventures.
Both sides notified Florida Southern District Court on Friday that they had selected Harry R. Schafer of Esquibel Communications as the mediator. They have a Zoom session scheduled for August 26th and must explain the progress to the court within seven days thereafter, Prime Minister Cecilia M. Altonaga ruled.
A $100 million defamatory lawsuit filed by workers with Brecca and his wife Sage in Florida’s 11th Judicial Circuit remains active. The May 1 hearing is scheduled for a motion for dismissal filed by Elena Cardone, wife of Grant Cardon.
Brekka and Working filed a lawsuit the day after Christmas. That same day, Cardone Ventures filed a federal lawsuit against Brecka and Workser. All involved are a popular social media personality joined forces in 10x Health System, a wellness company that uses data-driven strategies to improve human health and lifespan.
The duel lawsuit followed the split of the way the two men reached the culmination of Grant Cardon and Brandon Dawson, who fired Brecca from 10x health from November 5, 2024.
In its first lawsuit, Cardone Ventures alleged that Brecka and Workser engaged in trademark infringement and unfair competition in violation of Florida law. In addition to protecting and damaging the trademark, the Cardone lawsuit sought the court to “clawbacks of tens of millions of dollars paid to Brecka and Workser.”
In the lawsuit motion, Cardone claimed that Brecka is “sucking up the business to serve 10x health and potential customers to her daughter Madison Brecka and her limited company,” repurposing and redirecting other 10x health contacts, resources, clients or potential clients.
Similarly, Cardone alleges that Brecka sold competing products under the “Ultimate Human” brand and infringed a registered trademark owned by a doctor referred to him with 10 times healthier.
Disputed video clips
Brecka and Workkiner rebutted in their honor and loss lawsuit in connection with an Instagram clip shared by Elena Cardone in November. Video clips from previous 10x health clients Brecka and Sean “Diddy” Coombs were shared with over 688,000 Instagram followers.
Elena Cardone posted the clip after Brecka and Workkiner left ten times health and added the comment “Boy Bye!” The lawsuit alleges.
In a motion to dismiss, Elena Cardon said “the profession himself released content that first hinted at the “relationship” between the plaintiff and Mr. Combs.” Through her comments about the Instagram post, Workser added that the couple “has no connection with (Shawn Combs) beyond helping (Shawn Combs) on a 10x health journey.”
Cardone declined to post comments about Workser’s Combs comments and deleted the Instagram post, the motion said.
Brecka refers to herself as a “famous biohacker and longevity expert” with over 20 years of experience in human biomarkers analysis, including mortality modeling experts in the insurance industry.
Brecka was president and administrative principal of Life Asset Group (LAG) in Miami Beach, Florida. LAG was primarily dealt with in the life settlement market, primarily through the capabilities of securities companies. Previously, he was the founder of a broker-dealership.
He left the insurance industry to pursue other health opportunities, and in 2017 he partnered with Workser to streamline the medical group Napoli and streamline wellness.
