The first golf club in Scandinavia and Denmark has appointed Tula Andal as its new director. Since the mid-1990s, she has played a key role in the sport she loves and will take up her post at her native club on January 1, 2025.
Birgitte Henrichsen, Chairman of the Board of Royal Copenhagen Golf Club, said: “We are proud to have attracted such an experienced and trusted leader with many years of top-notch insight into the world of golf.”
The Royal Copenhagen Golf Club is located 15 minutes north of downtown Copenhagen in the heart of Dyrehaven, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a unique natural area home to 2,200 free-roaming deer. With 1,200 active members (over 10% of whom are juniors) and a strong volunteer community, the club provides the perfect environment for both athletic and social development.
Tula Andal brings nearly 30 years of experience in the world of golf. Most recently, he served as Club Manager at Smollum Golf Club, where he was part of the leadership team responsible for driving membership growth, achieving financial stability, and increasing the club’s profile by hosting international tournaments. She also worked as a golf manager at Scandinavian Golf Club for seven years.
Rich experience and focus on the future
Tuula Undall has a long history of involvement in workforce development and volunteerism. She has served as Director of the Danish Golf Union, Member of the Danish Golf Foundation, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Junior Committee of the Royal Copenhagen Golf Club. She is also currently a member of the Board of Directors of GAF Denmark, the Golf Management Association.
With Tula Undal at the helm, Royal Copenhagen Golf Club is well placed to maintain its position as a flagship for talent development. Her leadership will focus on strengthening management, improving the member and guest experience, and further developing the club’s shops and restaurants. All initiatives respect the club’s unique combination of nature, culture and sport.
