Tracey Park was put on the market by HMH Golf & Leisure in May with a guide price of £12 million.
Tom Marriott of HMH Golf & Leisure commented: Local entrepreneurs emerged as preferred buyers. Terms were agreed and the sale was completed at the end of September.
“The business, which had 36 holes and a hotel and wedding venue set on 220 acres of rolling countryside, has closed and its new owners are considering other uses for the site.
“The market continues to surprise us with a variety of buyers and subsequent alternative uses for some of the sales.”
Ben Allen of HMH Golf & Leisure said: “Tracy Park is the ninth golf-related business we have sold so far this year and the third golf hotel. Two municipal golf courses are also on offer and are expected to be completed soon, with completion expected in 2024. 2020 is proving to be a good year for our market and we will be announcing further sales in the coming weeks.”
