Gaza:
Hundreds of Palestinians took them to the towns of northern Gaza, taking part in the biggest anti-Hama protests since the start of the war with Israel, calling for an end to the ongoing conflict, and demanding that the group resign from power. The demonstration took place in Beit Rahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. There, crowds gathered a week after Israeli forces resumed their fierce bombings of Gaza after nearly two months of armistice.
The videos and photos shared on social media late Tuesday were mostly male and chanted hundreds of protesters chanting “out, out, out, out, Hamas out, Hamas sterolists,” carrying banners decorated with slogans such as “I want to stop the war” and “We want to live in peace.”

Media reports said masks and armed Hamas militants, gun carriers and other batons forced protesters to disperse, attacking some of them in the process.
Protesters said appeals to participate in the protest were mobilized after being distributed via telegrams on social media networks.
“I don’t know who organized the protest,” the man named Mohammed told the Agens France Press. The protesters refused to give him his last name, fearing retaliation.
“I joined in to send messages on people’s behalf. War is enough,” he said, adding that he saw “members of Hamas security forces in civilian clothing that break the protest.”
Majidi, another protester who doesn’t want to give him a full name, said, “People are tired.”

“If the solution is for Hamas to leave his strength in Gaza, why wouldn’t Hamas give up on his strength to protect the people?” he told AFP.
Footage from the Jabaria refugee camp in the western part of Gaza city showed dozens of protesters were hoping to burn tires and end the war.
“We want to eat,” they chanted.

Telegram messages from unknown sources Tuesday evening had asked people to redisplay demonstrations in various parts of Gaza on Wednesday.
History of Hamas in Gaza
Hamas has dominated Gaza since 2007 after winning the Palestinian election a year ago, and has since banished its rivals vigorously. The group has not yet commented on the issue, but Pro Hamas supporters defended the group by disregarding the importance of the movement and accusing protesters of being traitors.
Although criticism of the group has grown in Gaza since the start of the war with Israel, Hamas still has strong and loyal supporters of the territory, and the level of dissatisfaction with the group is difficult to measure.
The last available survey was conducted in September by the Centre for Palestine Policy Research (PCPSR).
35% of Gaza’s Palestinians said they support Hamas, while 26% said they supported rival Fatah, president of Ramallah-based Palestinian authorities.
“Go aside”
Israel regularly seeks Gazas against the Islamist movement, which has been in power on the territory since 2007.
A spokesman for Hamas rival Fatah, a spokesman for Gaza, and Al Hayek of the moon on Saturday called on Hamas to “take a step away from governance” to protect the “presence” of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The War in Gaza
The Gaza Strip has been ravaged by more than 17 months of war between Israel and Hamas, and the humanitarian situation has been exacerbated once again after Israel blocked the passage of aid to the territory on March 2, in order to force Israel to release Israeli hostages on March 2.
Since Israel resumed military operations in Gaza, at least 792 Palestinians have been killed, according to the Hamas-run territories Ministry of Health.
The war was triggered by an attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, resulting in 1,218 people, mostly civilians, killed, according to AFP tallies based on official figures.
At least 50,021 people have been killed in Gaza in Israel’s retaliatory military attacks, according to the Ministry of Health.
