Dixon Trophy Fall Standings Gannon University Athletics leads the PSAC’s Dixon Trophy all-sport standings through the 2024-25 fall competition.
Over the past three academic/athletic years, Gannon has won the Dixon Trophy title twice and finished a close second in 2023-24.
The Dixon Trophy standings award Athletic Program Points based on a team’s finish in the PSAC Championship. Champions are awarded 17 points for first place and 16 points for second place. However, if a sport has fewer than 17 teams, points will be prorated based on the number of teams.
Gannon averaged 13.21 points per game in the fall, leading 17 teams in the PSAC. East Stroudsburg is second with an average of 12.86 points, and Kutztown is third with an average of 11.75 points.
Gannon’s men’s program leads the PSAC with an average of 13.63 points, while GU ranks third among women’s programs with an average of 12.67 points.
Gannon had a great fall season, with the men’s golf team dominating to win the program’s first PSAC championship, scoring 17 points. Gannon earned PSAC runner-up honors in volleyball (16 points) and men’s soccer (15 points), while the women’s soccer team took third place (15 points) and the men’s cross country team took fifth place (12 points). The football team (10.5 points) and women’s cross country team (7 points) rounded out GU’s fall scoring tally.
The Dixon Trophy standings will be published after the winter season and before the final standings are announced in May.
Gannon won his first Dixon Trophy title in 2021-22 and continued his winning streak in 2022-23. The Golden Knights finished a close second to Slippery Rock in the 2023-24 season.
