Yabusele averaged 14 points per game throughout France’s glorious Olympic silver medal run. He was second only to teammate Victor Wembanyama in points with 20 in the Olympic gold medal final against the United States. The Americans defeated France 98-87.
Two of Yabusele’s 20 points came on powerful dunks over LeBron James’ head, making him one of the few players to ever provide a poster child for NBA greatness.
Yabusele began his career with teams in France and China before being selected 16th overall by the Boston Celtics in 2016. He spent two seasons with the Celtics before returning overseas in 2019.
The 6-foot-8 forward has been playing for Real Madrid since 2021. According to The Athletic’s Sham Charania, Yabusele had to exit his $2.5 million contract with the Spanish team before he could return to the NBA.
