The four Nebraska football players will represent Indianapolis Cornhuskers at the NFL Scouting Combine at the end of the month.
The National Football League announced its list of participants for the 2025 NFL Combine on Thursday morning, listing four Nebraska NFL Draft candidates, while also excluding notable black shirts. Defensive lineman Ty Robinson, tight end Thomas Fidonne, wide receiver Isaiah Neyor and defensive back Tomi Hill will be taking part in their annual event, starting on February 27th and running until March 2nd. After accepting the invitation, they meet in Indianapolis.
Despite taking part in the Toshiba Shrine Bowl in January, fellow defensive lineman Nash Hatmacher left the invitation list. Robinson, Fidawn and Hill competed in the Senior Bowl last month, but Neyor returned to college football after receiving an invitation to the Senior Bowl. The receiver eventually played in a match at Toshiba Shrine along with Hatmacher.
The NFL Scouting Combine will assist franchises in evaluating draft-qualified players at an annual event held by the National Football League. The event will include field testing in skill-based position group work and individual meetings with NFL teams. Some players are chosen to talk to the media as well.
Nebraska went in the 2024 NFL Draft without an NFL Draft selection and was not involved in the scouting combine last season. The four invitations this season come when Cam Jurgens, Austin Allen, Cam Taylor-Britt and Jojo Domann participated in the Indianapolis “Underwear Olympics.” While the 2022 Huskers all showed off their ability to join the NFL roster at some point in their careers, the Jurgens recently won the Super Bowl Championship with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Fidone was the Mackey Award Watch list choice as a junior who has appeared in all 13 games and is now in his fourth season at Lincoln, where he has started nine times. He finished with a career-high 36 reception for 373 yards and caught multiple passes in 10 of his 13 games. He made a strong appearance at Mobile, Alabama in January as part of the Senior Bowl.
Robinson was a key part of Tony White’s defense as a two-year blackshirt for the former defence coordinator. He began all 13 games of his fourth grade at Nebraska, playing career-recorded 60 games. He also set a career-high with 37 tackles, 12 tackles, seven sacks, four passes splits and blocked field goals and safety. He is the most rated Husker on the current draft board and has been selected by Coach Matt Ruhr to potentially be “a first or second round.”
Hill fought injury in his final campaign at Lincoln, but he was a solid addition to his defense with seven game appearances and five starts. He finished his fourth year with 21 tackles, a half tackle for loss, a passing breakup and a memorable pick 6 during the Colorado contest.
Neyor began his career in Wyoming before finishing his senior season with Nebraska as a transfer from Texas. The receiver finished his final year in college with 34 catches and appeared in 12 games with nine starts. He led Nebraska with five touchdown catches.
2025 NFL Scouting Combine will launch on February 27th and air on the NFL Network and NFL+ APP. The 2025 NFL Draft will be held in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with a first round selection opening on April 24th. Nebraska “Pro Day” is not yet set for other Husker alumni with the aim of continuing their soccer careers.
