Former NFL star quarterback Jay Cutler was arrested Thursday night on suspicion of driving under the influence after being involved in a traffic accident in Tennessee, police said.
Cutler was charged with driving under the influence, first offense, failure to use due care to avoid collision, implied consent and possession of a handgun under the influence, the Franklin Police Department said in a news release. It was done.

He was booked into the Williamson County Jail and released on $5,000 bond.
Police said Cutler was arrested after investigating a minor traffic accident. After investigating, police said the former Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins star may have rear-ended another vehicle. Investigators then noticed a “strong odor of alcohol” coming from the suspect, officials said.
Cutler allegedly had slurred speech and refused a breathalyzer test. Police said Cutler was found to have two firearms in his vehicle, including a loaded handgun.

The former Pro Bowler played 12 seasons in the NFL from 2006 to 2017. During his career, he had 35,133 passing yards and 227 passing touchdowns.
