The Fishers area, which is close to the Nickel Plate Trail, has changed from a low -rise building to a high -rise apartment in the past decade. The city has begun construction to increase the construction of another in downtown, which is not an advantage for everyone.
In the 116th Avenue and Lantern Road City View, a luxury apartment with nearly 200 units will be added to the Fishers Skyline. However, this house is only for people over 55 years old.
“We want everyone to believe that downtown Fishers is the best place to live, both at the age of 26 or 76,” said Fishers Mayor Scott Fadnes.
Fadness believes that a dense house exclusively for the elderly will open a Fishers door to everyone.
“Fishers live in a very nice house, but now there are many people who are vacant and don’t want to have a 6,000-8,000 square feet,” said Fadnes. “Perhaps they want to spend half of their time in Florida. We want to give them a residence option.”
The City View Development site is one block from the Angelos Italian Market, a small and medium -sized business that Fishers from Fishers opened two years ago.
“We’ve lived here for a long time because our parents built a house here in the mid -1980s,” said Mazza. “It was really nice to see all changes.”
Mazza expects more customers within walking distance if City View opens two years later.
“It’s a great thing for business because there are a lot of people here and the number of visitors is increasing,” Mazza said.
Fadness believes that the Nickel Plate district still has room for growth even after the City View development has been completed.
“Fishers have reached the stage of accepting the changes,” said Fadnes. “It’s a part of our culture.”
