The Kremlin confirmed that Vladimir Putin will be talking to Donald Trump on the phone tomorrow about the ceasefire talks to Russia’s Ukraine. As Washington seeks to call, European leaders are rushing to prepare what comes next, fearing unpredictable and controversial concessions from the US president.
The EU Foreign Minister meets in Brussels this morning to discuss what else can be done to help Ukraine. EU foreign policy director Kaja Karas attempted to put pressure on Russia when he arrived for the meeting, saying, “The ball is in the Russian courts and it’s a big question of whether or not they want peace.”
What are the topics on the appeal between Putin and Trump? Trump said he plans to discuss ending the war in Ukraine with the Russian president, and that negotiators are already discussing “dividing certain assets.”
Democrats demand musk investigation into possible criminal corruption
Key Democrats have called for an investigation into possible criminal corruption involving Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest man tasked with cutting down the federal government today.

Houthis and we both vow after the wave of deadly American airstrikes in Yemen
The US-Iran-backed Huutis in Yemen has vowed to escalate after the US launched a deadly air strike on Saturday with the explicit purpose of stopping insurgents from attacking transport in the Red Sea.
Anis Al-Asbahi, a spokesman for the Houthi Health Ministry, added the previous death toll, saying 53 people were killed, including “five children and two women” and 98 were injured.
The airstrikes have been hit in other states, including Sanaa, the capital, and Sada, the Houthi rebel base at the Saudi Arabia border.

According to NASA, US astronauts trapped on the International Space Station for more than nine months will be returned to Earth if they are stuck for more than nine months. Barry “Butch” Willmore and Snee Williams are brought home on top of SpaceX Crew Dragoncraft. They were on the ISS since June after Boeing’s Starliner spaceship. They had propulsion problems on the maiden crew’s voyage and were deemed unfit to bring them back to Earth.
