After Elon Musk complained about federal spending on housing immigrants, known as “luxury hotel” homeland security on Tuesday, the Department of Homeland Security announced four FEMA staff members who said their payments had been fired.
The shooting includes the agency’s chief financial officer, two program analysts and one grant expert, DHS labeled it as “deep state activist” in a statement .
The money came from the FEMA grant program.
“Under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Noem, DHS does not sit vaguely and will not allow deep state activists to undermine the will and safety of the American people,” the DHS statement said.

Recently arrived immigrants returned to the bus on January 4, 2024 in New York City, to a temporary tent shelter at Floyd Bennetfield, a former Brooklyn airfield.

Details regarding the shooting were not released immediately.
Musk claims in X that his government efficiency “discovered” that he spent more than $50 million on a “luxurious” hotel for “immigrant housing,” and in doing so, he threw immigrant crackdowns violated the president’s executive order seeking the law.
A while later, FEMA administrator Cameron Hamilton’s performance posted to X that payments to these luxury hotels had been suspended as of Saturday, “People are responsible.”
Trump reflected Musk’s criticism of FEMA and continued to criticize it in a true social Tuesday social post.
He said the agency is being investigated because it mismanages money and doesn’t help North Carolina. And the agency should “cease”.
