At the December 2024 commencement ceremony, Dr. Dave Rampersad will also inaugurate the new Kadanga School of Executive Education at the Harris College of Business and Executive Education in honor of the late Dr. Dave Kadanga, who worked at the college from 1988 until his death. Dr. Kadanga founded the first graduate program at Faulkner College and served as dean of the Harris School of Business for many years. This new school honors his remarkable accomplishments and ensures that his commitment to excellence in executive education continues to inspire future leaders.
“We are deeply grateful to Dr. Dave Kadanga for his accomplishments and the stability he has brought to our facility,” Rampersad said.
This resolution was adopted by the Faulkner College Board of Trustees on September 5, 2024, and read aloud at the commencement ceremony. Following the reading, a special presentation was given to Mr. Kadanga’s wife, Dr. Rosie Kadanga, a professor at the Harris School of Business, and their daughter Shelly.
Dr. Dave Kadanga has worked at Faulkner College since 1985, when he accepted an appointment as assistant professor of business administration. He began serving as dean of the Harris College of Business & Executive Education in 1988. Kadanga attended Utkal University in Odisha, India, where he earned the following degrees: Master of Commerce; PhD in Human Resource Management and LLB (Bachelor of Laws). He also earned an MBA from Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, Alabama. He was a member of the American Management Association, the Academy of Management, and the Society for Human Resource Management. While serving as dean, Mr. Kadanga continued to teach several business courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
In 1988, Kadanga created the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program. At this time, he also significantly strengthened the BS in Human Resource Management (MHR) program. He then led the development and implementation of the Master of Science in Management (MSM) program in 1997. He also led the development and implementation of the Executive MBA program.
His desire to educate is motivated by a desire to “inculcate knowledge into those who want to learn” and is also motivated “by the opportunity to influence, shape and shape the lives of young people.” It was being done.
