Complete Week 11 quarterback rankings (coming soon)
start of the week
Jared Goff vs. Jaguars (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Goff has been awful the last two weeks, totaling 17.4 fantasy points, including last week’s game in Houston where he had five interceptions. . The good news is he’ll do the right thing when the lowly Jaguars hit Ford Field. Their defense allows the third-most points per game to quarterbacks, with seven players scoring 18 or more points and four scoring 26 or more points.
Start M
Russell Wilson vs. Ravens (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Wilson has been on a roll since taking over as the Steelers’ No. 1 quarterback, scoring 18 points or more in two of his first three games. He would have reached that mark in Week 8, but had two touchdown passes called back, one of which was a penalty. He has his next great matchup coming up in 2024 against a Ravens pass defense that has allowed quarterbacks to win by 20 or more points six times.
Brock Purdy vs. Seahawks (4:05 p.m. ET, Fox): Purdy continues to play well, scoring 23 points or more in three of his last four games. This type of success should continue in Week 6 against the Seahawks, where Purdy scored 24.1 points. Seattle has also allowed five quarterbacks to score at least 17.9 points per game to beat the Seahawks, all of which have been since Week 4. DK Sportsbook also expects a shootout as the game totals 49.5 points.
Bo Knicks vs. Falcons (4:05 p.m. ET, Fox): The Knicks had a bad matchup with the Chiefs and were dropped for much of the league, but they still posted a respectable 16.1 despite losing 16-14. He was earning fantasy points. He’s been on a roll in recent weeks, scoring 17 points or more in four of the last six games. He also has a great matchup next on the schedule, against an Atlanta defense that is allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks since Week 7.
Tua Tagovailoa vs. Raiders (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Tagovailoa has been inconsistent since his return, but a positive matchup against the Raiders should help ease his woes. Their defense was generous to the quarterback, allowing the eighth-most points per game. Additionally, five different field generals have beaten them by 18 or more points, four of which have appeared since Week 5. That makes Tua a great option for fantasy fans.
QB with good chemistry
How to sit this week
Jordan Love at Bears (1 p.m. ET, Fox): Love has struggled over the last three games, averaging just 11.1 fantasy points. This week he will play against the Bears, who have struggled mightily on offense but are still strong defensively. In fact, only one quarterback has thrown multiple touchdown passes against them this season. Overall, no team in the league allows fewer fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks.
Sit M
Patrick Mahomes vs. Bills (4:25 p.m. ET, CBS): Mahomes returned to the field last week and averaged a modest 16.5 points in the win over the Broncos. He has another difficult task this week, playing against the Bills at Orchard Park. Their formidable defense allows them the fifth-fewest points per game among all quarterbacks, and the visiting field generals are averaging 12.5 points against them. That makes Mahomes a risk in a league with one quarterback back.
Kirk Cousins, Broncos (4:05 p.m. ET, Fox): I was completely wrong about Cousins last week, as he scored 10.2 points despite a positive matchup against the Saints. But they’ll be passing him up this week as the veteran heads to Denver to play against the Broncos. Their defense allows just 13.8 points per game across quarterbacks, and no opposing signal caller has scored more than 13.7 points per game against them at Mile High this season.
Caleb Williams vs. Packers (1 p.m. ET, Fox): Williams has had a bad three-game stretch, scoring 9.9 points or less in each one. He also ranks last in the league among quarterbacks in on-target throws, with an abysmal 49.6 completion percentage over his past three starts. Next up is a bad matchup against the Packers. The Packers just earned a bye and are allowing the sixth-fewest points per game to opposing quarterbacks.
Sam Darnold vs. Titans (1 p.m. ET, CBS): Darnold was terrible last week, throwing three interceptions and scoring just 6.4 points despite a great matchup in Jacksonville. The veteran will be a risk this week as he faces a defense that is allowing more than 15.7 fantasy points to just one quarterback against the Titans at home. Additionally, their defense has held Jared Goff, Aaron Rodgers, Joe Flacco, and Caleb Williams to 16 points or less.
