The Atlanta Falcons defense faces a big task in Monday’s primetime matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams were expected to win their divisions, but the Falcons stumbled in Week 1 against the Steelers.
The Eagles struggled early before their offense took control in their season opener against the Green Bay Packers on Friday. Running back Saquon Barkley scored three touchdowns in his team debut, while wide receiver AJ Brown dominated with five catches for 119 yards and a touchdown.
Brown has been Jalen Hurts’ go-to weapon the past two seasons, but the playmaking wide receiver was limited on Philadelphia’s injury report on Friday because of a sore hamstring.

Be sure to check each team’s final injury report on Saturday, as the Falcons would benefit greatly if Brown misses Week 2. Atlanta is in relatively good shape heading into Monday’s game, but linebacker Nate Landman is likely out.
Landman, who was rated the team’s highest by Pro Football Focus in Week 1, has missed the past two practices, and Atlanta considered three possible replacements on Friday, including former Falcons linebacker Rashaan Evans and former Pro Bowler Kwon Alexander.
