A massive explosion shook the grill area at a resort in Maui, Hawaii, wounded seven people and littered wreckage scattered across the beach.
At least three people were in danger following the explosion at Kaanapali Beach’s Wahler Resort on Thursday night, according to Hawaii News, and at Kaanapali Beach’s Holler Resort on Thursday night, the victims of the sacrifices. Those who are between 18 and 74 years old.
“We were swimming in the Sheraton pool and suddenly there was this huge, earth-shaking boom,” witness David Flint told the station.

The location of the explosion occurred is just a short walkway leading to Whaler Village, a shopping and dining destination for many nearby resort guests.
“At this time, no evacuations have been made,” Maui police said in a Facebook post, describing the explosion as “other accidents.”
“We ask the public to avoid this area while our first responders work on the investigation,” he added.

An investigation is underway to determine the official cause of the explosion in the grill area of the Wheeler Resort in Maui, Hawaii.
The Maui County Fire Department also said the first responder was “at the scene of the explosion in Kaanapali and was caring for the victims,” and “no additional threats.”
