Duluth, Minnesota (Northern News Now) – Here in Duluth, young local athletes had the opportunity to work with professional trainers and athletes to hone their skills.
“It was easy to see positive changes in the lives of young athletes and do what I could to bring this to the community I grew up in.”
Duluth Denfeld alumni have joined other experts such as Adam Thielen, Kirk Cousins and Jake Guentzel.
“I felt really, very welcome, like there were people I could respect like, ‘This guy is really cool,'” Devan Baker said.
On Saturday, the rest of the ETS performance staff in Ham and Duluth welcomed the 8-year-old and up to one of four free training sessions at the ETS performance in Duluth.
Many of the kids are involved in Ham’s summer camp, which I found to be more personal.

“I think this is even more special because we can add one-on-one time if necessary,” Brody Heefentz said.
The ETS training system is currently producing stars in the neighborhood as well. This involves Tigers in the northwest running away, and University of Minnesota’s Duluth Bulldog Cooper Lawton University is unsure where they’re without extra help.
“Little kids, they just want to do it and run and do something they’re not doing,” Lawton said. “It’s been a part of me since I came here. I don’t know what I’m going to do without it.”
Participating middle and high school students tested their athletic ability with drills that were specifically tailored to speed, power and balance.
“It was good to have speed training and get back into conditioning and all the grooves,” Kaden Johns said. “It was way more than I thought. It was amazing.”
Each participant reviewed the results at the end of the day and launched a portfolio that was used to specialize in future training sessions for what young athletes needed.
“The focus is to enable young people to achieve their full potential,” Ham said.
Duluth’s ETS performance is welcomed by everyone to try out the service. It’s as easy as choosing the date and time for your initial evaluation.
