Buick’s flagship SUV, the 2025 Buick Enclave Avenir, combines the luxury and practicality of families seeking comfort without challenging the ultra-luxurious price tag. At a price of $58,000, the SUV has achieved status as a luxury replacement for mainstream three-row SUVs, with the test model being equipped with all-wheel drive ($2,000) and a super cruise package ($3,730). It’s $65,125.
design
The Enclave Avenir’s design is refined but friendly. The refined look features a distinctive grille, subtle chrome accents, 22-inch alloy wheels, and a pearl-nickel finish that gives it a luxurious presence that is not exaggerated. New LED lighting and sculpture lines further enhance their premium feel.
Inside, the cabin has a calm environment. Buick’s QuietTuning technology minimizes road and wind noise, keeping conversations and enjoying the Premium Bose sound system. High-quality materials, including leather seats, are used throughout the cabin. The Avenir Trim adds exclusive touches such as wood tone accents and embroidered headrests.
I had the opportunity to take my tester on a road trip to Southern Illinois, which proved to be a great way to travel for 5 adults (and lots of luggage). Seats for seven people are standard, with the captain’s chairs in the second row, and three seats have a bench with three seats.
The front and second row are luxurious and spacious, while the third row is suitable for children and small adults. The cargo space is generous, offering 23.6 cubic feet from the third row, up to 97.4 cubic feet, with all seats folding flat.
performance
The 2025 Enclave Avenir is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that offers 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Discovering that the engine delivers smooth acceleration, the transmission has seamless shifts throughout the range, making it a comfortable cruiser on both highways and urban traffic.
The optional all-wheel drive system adds confidence to harmful weather conditions, but it is worth noting that it has a slight impact on fuel efficiency. The enclave will deliver 17 mpg cities estimated by the EPA and 25 mpg highways with all-wheel drive.
Buick also features the Enclave Avenir with a well-tuned suspension that prioritizes comfort. Though not as sporty as some European rivals, the handling is configured and the ride is luxurious. Perfect for families looking for a stress-free driving experience.
Technology
Enclave Avenir is packed with the latest technology. The centerpiece is an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation and 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspots. The interface is intuitive, but some competitors offer larger screens at this price range.
The Super Cruise Package ($3,730) is an outstanding feature. This advanced driver assistance system allows for hands-free driving on compatible highways, making it more convenient for long trips. It is not a replacement for full autonomy, but it is a key step forward in making driving less taxable.
Safety is another powerful suit, with standard features such as automatic emergency braking, lane management assistance and adaptive cruise control. Enclave Avenir has earned a high reputation in crash tests, further solidifying his family-friendly qualification.
Final thoughts
The 2025 Buick Enclave Avenir balances luxury and practicality. The base price is $58,000 and the fully equipped cost is $65,125, which is not cheap, but offers an attractive package for families looking for a premium 3-row SUV. It may lack cutting-edge styling and performance from some of its rivals, but it excels in providing comfort, space and advanced technology.
