Elon Musk’s eldest son, Vivienne Jenna Wilson, spoke publicly about her father at two rallys in January, saying that Musk was “undetectedly a Nazi salute” and that she was part of the White House, “as evil as cartoons.”
In a new interview with Teen Vogue, the 20-year-old, the second interview with the media since she publicly denounced her father last year, said what her father has done in the federal government is “shit.”
“Nazi salute was insane. Honey, we’re going to call it a fig. We’re going to call it a Nazi salute for what it is,” Wilson said. “That shit was definitely a Nazi salute.”
Wilson went into the public eye last year after Musk spoke about her on a podcast, saying he signed a “trick” document so that Wilson, then 16, could get gender-affirming medical care.
“I essentially lost my son. They call it ‘dead.’ The reason they call it “dead” is because your son is dead. ” he said. Musk added that the experience has led him to “suffering to destroy the mind virus that has since woken up, and we have made some progress.”
In an interview with NBC News last year, Wilson said that Mask was largely lacking in her life, and that she was often cruel for her by showing feminine traits when she was growing up. She went to California court in 2022 to officially remove “musk” from her name, and in her court application she said “I no longer want to be associated with my biological father in any way or form.”
“He was cold,” she told NBC News. “He is extremely angry. He is uncaring and narcissistic.”
By law, Wilson had to take his father, whom he hadn’t spoken to in months at the time.
“I was constantly having mental breakdowns in the middle of class. I couldn’t spend the day. I didn’t want to wake up. I just wanted to corrupt. “If I stay in my closet anymore, this would take me on a very destructive path.”
Wilson, who is now a Tokyo student, said he felt an obligation to talk about trans issues as a minor transitioner.
“There are so many villains in it. I want to raise awareness about the fact that transcare for minors, especially adolescent blockers, is really important,” she said. “Maybe I’ll stop demonizing these literal kids and those around these kids who are trying to help them feel comfortable with their own skin.”
Over the past few years, conservatives have targeted the transgender community through the law. Since taking office, Trump has signed executive orders banning transgender people from the military and women from participating in sports. On Wednesday, a federal judge blocked Trump from banning trans people serving in the military.
“As a trans woman, I’m afraid of losing access to guaranteed medical care. If I didn’t move medically at the age I was, I don’t know what would have happened,” Wilson said.
Wilson said her mother, Musk’s first wife, Justin Musk, is in support of her, and she “can’t keep up with the side of the family (Musk’s).” A candid accrualist, Musk has 14 children, with four women.
When asked if she had a good relationship with her brother, Wilson replied.
Her father is a billionaire who plays a major role in the Trump administration, but Wilson said Musk isn’t getting too close in her life.
“People are thriving out of fear. I have not given any of that space to my heart,” she said. “Only a drag queen can live freely in my mind.”
