A 2014 nationally commissioned report by senior social worker Alexis Jay found that around 1,400 vulnerable children were targeted and sexually abused in the northern English town of Rotherham between 1997 and 2013. It turned out that it was. Jay blamed the “collective failure” of the care system and said local authorities had failed. This is to confront the perpetrators of abuse, who are of Pakistani descent.
