MANDAN, N.D. — The North Dakota Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives (NDAREC) has recognized the safety achievements of North Dakota electric cooperatives in the Jamestown area in 2024.
On January 9, NDAREC held an awards ceremony to award Certificates of Safety Achievement to Dakota Valley Electric Cooperative and Northern Plains Electric Cooperative. The Safety Achievement Certificate recognizes successful participants in the Rural Electrical Safety Achievement Program (RESAP). RESAP is a national safety program that encourages electric cooperatives to achieve and maintain high safety standards to protect employees and communities.
Dakota Valley Electric Cooperative also received the Safety Achievement Award, given to a cooperative with zero recorded injuries in one year. Cooperatives and contractors that achieve this safety commitment between December 1, 2023 and November 30, 2024.
NDAREC has been recognizing superior safety performance for more than 60 years through our safety awards and recognition programs.
NDAREC is a statewide trade association comprised of 17 electric distribution cooperatives and five generation and transmission cooperatives operating in North Dakota.
