I moved from Carmel where I lived for many years. I am a designer by trade and had two retail stores in downtown Carmel. If I remember correctly, there were a lot of rules we had to follow. I agree with the mayor that there is no place for politics on El Paseo.
This is very divisive and does nothing to help El Paseo’s purpose: luxury retail. I believe the rules are flawed. This should never have been allowed, otherwise this uproar would not have happened. I would encourage you to do something to prevent this from happening again. There are other, more suitable venues for this type of display, where you can get all politically involved.

Kamala Harris believes in equality for all
Let’s take a look back at the Vice President’s relationship with “felons.” Kamala Harris, a great leader and visionary, ran and was elected to the following offices:
San Francisco District Attorney, California Attorney General, California State Senator, Vice President of the United States
Ms. Harris believes in equality for all, social justice, environmental change and democracy. She has compassion, intellect, empathy and a genuine love for country. She has optimistic ambition and hope for the future of America.
This felon has been convicted (so far) of 34 felonies.
Charged with inciting rioters to “hang Pence” during the January 6th riot, destroying the Capitol and undermining American democracy. Self-proclaimed sex offender. Convicted of assaulting E. Jean Carroll and ordered to pay $83.3 million in restitution. Refused the peaceful transfer of power because of lies and false claims of voter fraud. Faced two criminal indictments by the Department of Justice and the State of Georgia. Convicted of civil enterprise fraud in New York City and ordered to pay $355 million. Dictatorship is his goal. Worships dictators Putin and Kim Jong Un. Nothing more to say.
The idea of a narcissistic, pathological liar and felon in the White House is unacceptable.
Vote for Kamala Harris, your only choice for President!
