At approximately 6:25 a.m. Saturday, the Flowwood Police Department received a call about a husband and wife arguing outside a store. The woman was identified as Salvrinia Blackwell. Blackwell stabbed the man in the arm and slashed the tires on the man’s vehicle. When officers arrived on scene, they learned that a person of interest lived in Mendenhall. The woman fled the scene but was later taken into custody by the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office. The man was treated by medical personnel at the scene and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The case has been transferred to the Rankin County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
