PHILADELPHIA — Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts said his injured left knee is “progressing” but he plans to wear a brace in Sunday’s NFC title game against the Washington Commanders.
Hurts’ knee has been in the spotlight this week after he suffered an awkward takedown in the third quarter of a divisional-round playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams after his left leg was pinned down.
He finished the game but lacked his usual mobility. He had six carries for 71 yards and one touchdown before his injury. The only rushing stat when he took a knee to end the game.

His team-mates have given positive reports about Hearts this week. Right tackle Lane Johnson said after Thursday’s practice that Hurts was “mobile and moving.” Left tackle Jordan Mailata noted that the QB has “good energy.”
“I expect Jalen to be Jalen,” running back Saquon Barkley said. “He’s going to show up and make plays for us. He’s a winner. He’s got that ‘it’ factor.”
On the other side of injuries, tight end Dallas Goedert (ankle) and starting center Cam Jurgens (back) practiced for the first time this Friday. Goedert is listed as a full participant on the injury report, but Jurgens is limited and Sunday’s incident remains questionable.
Jurgens refused to speak in the locker room afterwards. Left guard Landon Dickerson took snaps at center during Jurgens’ absence earlier this week and will likely be designated for assignment if Jurgens is unable to play.
Goedert left no mystery and said he was fine going into Sunday.
“I’m feeling really good today. Practice outside was great and I was moving around really well, so I’m really happy with where I’m at right now,” he said.
Rookie stand corner Kunyon Mitchell left the Rams game with a shoulder injury, but said he has been practicing this week and will play Sunday.
