Dreamliner Luxury Coaches has announced the hiring of Tara Semb as the company’s first Chief Financial Officer, a move that signals the continued growth of its live tour business.
Mr Sem’s appointment comes 10 months after Dreamliner, the leading provider of luxury coaches for well-known live entertainment, nearly tripled its fleet with the acquisition of Hemphill Coach Company.
“Tara’s extensive private and public company experience will be invaluable as Dreamliner continues to expand its customer services,” Dreamliner founder and CEO Rich Thomson said in a statement. “In her new role as CFO, Tara will play a key role in guiding the company with business strategy and systems to help us achieve our year-over-year targets.”
Mr. Sem is a Certified Public Accountant, Financial Professional and Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor with 30 years of experience in business and finance. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Illinois and a Master’s degree from the University of Washington.
She has led the growth and transformation of several companies in the areas of audit, finance, information technology and business management functions. Previously, she served as CFO for APYX Medical Corporation where she overhauled the company’s financial and IT processes to improve reporting and compliance.
Her financial knowledge will help the four-year-old Dreamliner streamline processes and increase efficiencies as it expands.
“I am thrilled to be joining the company at such an exciting time in the Dreamliner growth story,” Semb said in the release. “The opportunity to expand this business into a best-in-class organization is very attractive and I am thrilled to be a part of it. I look forward to working closely with Rich and the rest of the Dreamliner team as we move through this next phase.”
