President Donald Trump has nominated FOX Business host Sean Duffy to be the next Secretary of Transportation. The former congressman will succeed Pete Buttigieg in January, overseeing a vast federal portfolio of infrastructure spending and transportation regulation.

Sean Duffy was born on October 3, 1971 in Hayward, Wisconsin. He was part of a large family and was the 10th of 11 children his parents had. Sean Duffy holds a degree in Marketing from Saint Mary’s University and a Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell School of Law. Sean Duffy is the second Fox News host to join Donald Trump’s administration after Pete Hegseth was nominated as Secretary of Defense. He is married to Rachel Campos Duffy, another Fox News personality. Sean Duffy and his wife Rachel Campos Duffy have nine children – Evita Pilar, Xavier Jacques, Lucia Belen, John Paul, Paloma Pilar, Maria Victoria Margarita, Margarita Pilar, Patrick Miguel and Stella Maris. Sean Duffy first met his future wife on the set of MTV’s “Road Rules: All Stars” in 1998. They appeared separately on MTV’s Real World show. While Sean Duffy was on The Real World: Boston, his future wife Rachel was on The Real World: San Francisco. Mr. Duffy was also an athlete. He holds two speed climbing titles. He started log rolling at age 5 and speed climbing at age 13. He also appeared as a commentator on ESPN’s “The Great Outdoor Game.” Sean Duffy entered the U.S. Congress during the early Tea Party wave. 2010s. He later became an ally of Donald Trump. Before becoming a member of the House of Representatives, he practiced law and served as a district attorney for more than eight years. He served as a member of the House of Representatives for nearly nine years. Duffy retired in 2019 after he and his wife discovered their ninth child had heart disease.
