SANTA FAE – A new attempt to enact a nationally-owned paid worker leave plan bites the dust Saturday in a Senate committee. This led to a loss of the measure as it was added to the bill to try to get a roundhouse finish line.
After a barrage of concern from Democrats and Republicans, from lack of funds to corporate damage to bills, the Senate Finance Committee on Saturday voted 8-3 if House Bill 11 doesn’t pass.
