The new name and logo focus on the breadth and value of services offered to customers.
GILMER, Texas, Aug. 14, 2024–( BUSINESS WIRE )–Custom Commodities Transport, a logistics company providing comprehensive solutions to shippers, has introduced a new brand, logo and messaging that more accurately reflects the company’s capabilities. The new name, “Custom™,” promotes the company’s expanded capabilities and customer focus of the solutions offered.
Custom combines companies such as Custom Commodities Transport, the original bulk carrier, Plastic Conversion Services, a warehouse operator, and LIFT, a transshipment terminal operator. Identifiers are used for all business divisions, including Custom Transport, Custom Warehousing, Custom Multimodal, Custom Leasing and Custom Brokerage, with Custom Inc. used as the general brand name.
“We are very proud of our heritage in the trucking industry and remain committed to providing the best service to meet our customers’ specific needs. However, we have grown dramatically and now offer a wide range of logistics and other solutions, so we needed a name that reflected the full breadth of our capabilities and the high-touch service we provide,” said Custom owner David L. Stevenson.
“Our mission has always been ‘provide solutions tailored to our customers’ business needs.’ To strengthen our team culture, we want to bring everyone under one corporate umbrella. Our new name and logo reflect this commitment.”
Founded in the 1980s by David L. Stevenson as Custom Commodities Transport, Custom has acquired Elliott Truck Line, J. Moore Transporters, Tommy Ellis Trucking, Blue Flash Express, and most recently Plastic Conversion Services and Plastic Transit. The new Custom brand was developed by a cross-functional team with input from the company’s executive team. It is being announced in conjunction with a groundbreaking ceremony for the company’s newest transloading facility and warehouse in Longview, Texas.
“The rebranding is the result of a comprehensive process to understand our true perceived brand, born out of our capabilities and years of service to our stakeholders. Once the concept was solidified from feedback, we worked with customers, team members and partners on the new name and logo to ensure everyone felt part of the new Custom community,” said David A. Stevenson, Executive Vice President, Custom.
“Custom remains a family-owned business based in East Texas committed to providing a great experience for our customers and supporting our stakeholders and the communities in which we operate. This new clear brand identity and unified messaging will help us achieve these goals.”
