Cryptocurrency trader and expert Michael van de Poppe predicts that Bitcoin will: BTC/USD After a possible retest at the $71,679 level, it could reach the $80,000 mark this month.
What happened: Van de Poppe shared his prediction on social media platform X. He predicts that Bitcoin could undergo a slight correction before rising more than 5% from its current price.
“Bitcoin is stabilizing around the new ATH. We believe it will continue, but there will probably be a slight correction at first, and we are ready for a buy on the bullshit. What’s next? 11 That’s $80,000 a month.”
The trader attributes this potential surge to the large influx of money into Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the aftermath of pro-crypto candidate Donald Trump’s victory.

“There have been record inflows into Bitcoin since President Trump won the election. More than $2 billion has flowed into Bitcoin ETFs. has flowed into Ethereum ETFs. The bull market is here.”
At the time of reporting, Bitcoin was trading at $75,966, marking an increase of over 11% from its election day low of $68,206.
Van de Poppe also expressed long-term bullish sentiment on Ethereum. ETH/USDsuggesting that a retest of lower price levels will continue to move higher. Ethereum is currently trading at $2,920, up more than 21% from its Election Day low of $2,403.
