From 2024 to 2025, MW will adopt a 20-game format, with each institution playing against each MW institution at home and on the road. The change to a 20-game schedule would move the conference season to an earlier start and push the intra-league schedule to early December.

CBS Sports will once again televise the Mountain West Men’s Basketball Championship. The 2025 tournament will be held March 12-15 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. CBS Sports Network will televise the quarterfinals and semifinals, and CBS Television Network and Paramount+ will broadcast the championship game on Saturday, March 15.
