Montpelier now has four new Flo electric vehicle charging stations in the parking lot behind The Drawing Board, just off Main Street. Charging a vehicle with a 100k battery at a 500kw fast-charging station can take as little as 20 minutes, said Scotte Millette of Next Level Electric, which is installing the 500kw fast-charging station. Millett said they also installed a 50-kilowatt charging station at East Rise Credit Union (formerly VSECU) and a Flo charging unit at the Berlin Transportation Center near Applebee’s. He said the new Flo units will be ready for use within one to two weeks. The charging station is owned by Green Mountain Power and sponsored by the City of Montpelier. —Cassandra Hemenway
