A Capital Area restaurant popular for its catfish and Southern cuisine is reaching another milestone: Cock of the Walk is celebrating its 44th anniversary. After failing an inspection in June, the restaurant closed for 24 hours, but co-owner and president Bill Priesock said he doesn’t need to talk about the day. Priesock added that the restaurant stands on “44 years of business, not a single video of any employee ever being fired.”

But restaurant owner and president Bill Priesock said there was no need to talk about the day, adding, “The restaurant was built on 44 years of being closed, and there is not a single video of any of the employees who were laid off.”
