Cincinnati Children’s Hospital has once again been named to the U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll of Best Children’s Hospitals in its 2024-2025 rankings. The Honor Roll is comprised of the top 10 children’s hospitals in the United States out of 108 participating children’s hospitals.
This year, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital ranked No. 1 in three specialties and was in the top 10 in all 10 ranked specialties. This makes us the only health system in the 13-state Midwest region and one of only two in the nation to earn this honor.
In a major change, hospitals on the Honor Roll are no longer ranked in a specific order. The changes will begin in adult hospitals in 2023 and will now also apply to children’s hospitals.
Additionally, pediatric and adolescent behavioral health was added to the ranking for the first time in more than 15 years. The initial list includes the top 50 hospitals and is in no particular order. That includes Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
“Being named one of the best children’s hospitals in the nation for over 15 years is a distinct honor that all of our team members should celebrate,” said Steve Davis, MMM, president and CEO of Cincinnati Children’s. says the doctor. “Their tireless dedication to our patients and families has made Cincinnati Children’s Center a national leader where the world’s sickest children can come for the best outcomes.” I am so proud to walk the hallways of our health system and see researchers, caregivers, and support staff working together to ask, “How can we do this?” A philosophy of providing the highest quality care and researching the latest advances in medicine. These rankings remind us to continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible so that all children can live the healthiest lives possible. ”
Hospitals were ranked based on key clinical data, including measures such as patient outcomes, resources spent directly on patient care, and patient safety. The purpose of these rankings is to identify hospitals that provide the highest quality care for children with the most serious or complex medical problems.
