The Chinese boy and his parents are under investigation after the child threw firecrackers into the sewer, lit methane, causing an explosion that damages some gorgeous cars.
Eight vehicles, including Porsche, BMW and Audi, were damaged in the explosion, reaching 285,000 yuan (US$39,000), according to the insurance company.
According to Jiupai News, the boy’s family must pay a large portion of this amount.
The unidentified young man threw in illuminated firecrackers in Zizhong County’s lawn sewerage in Zean, southwestern China on January 30th and escaped.
The impact of the explosion was so high that several cars parked nearby were blown into the air and completely capsized.
The uninjured boy was caught by police an hour later and was taken to the police station with his parents for questions. The punishment they faced was not revealed.
