The Cowboys have announced that CeeDee Lamb is out for the season.
“Following further testing and scans of CeeDee Lamb’s shoulder this week, we have confirmed that his injury has progressed to the point where he will be placed on the ‘out’ list for the remaining two games of the season,” the Cowboys said in a statement. It became clear,” he said. “He will undergo shoulder treatment and rehabilitation and is expected to make a full recovery with no need for surgery at this time.”
Lamb injured his shoulder in the Week 9 game against the Falcons. He has played through pain ever since, after it worsened against the Giants on Thanksgiving Day and then against the Bucks on Sunday night.
Lamb played little in the second half Sunday night, playing 33 of 60 plays overall, and was estimated not to have participated in Wednesday’s practice.
Lamb is tied for second in receptions with 101 yards, tied for third with 1,194 yards and six touchdowns, and is an All-Pro candidate for the second straight year.
