CBS Sports and the Big 12 Conference have expanded their partnership by significantly increasing the amount of Big 12 men’s college basketball games across the network’s platforms. The multi-year agreement, which runs through the 2026-27 season, was finalized through a sublicensing agreement with ESPN.
As part of its robust regular-season schedule, CBS Sports broadcasts at least six Big 12 men’s college basketball games each year on CBS, which also streams those games live on Paramount+. This new agreement will add 20 games broadcast per year on CBS Sports Network, bringing the total number of Big 12 men’s basketball games across CBS Sports platforms to at least 26 per season.
“CBS Sports continues to be the home of college basketball’s biggest titles, and we’re excited to expand our longstanding relationship with the Big 12,” said Dan Weinberg, executive vice president of programming for CBS Sports. “The Big 12 is one of the nation’s premier basketball conferences, with renowned schools, student-athletes and coaches and a rich history in the sport. This is a great opportunity to add 20 quality games from a premier conference to our schedule, and we’re excited to increase the amount of Big 12 basketball games available across CBS Sports platforms.”
“Our increased presence on CBS Sports will bring Big 12 basketball to even more fans across the country,” said Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark. “Additional nationally televised games will further grow our brand as the premier conference in college basketball and showcase the elite student-athletes and programs at our 16 schools.”
CBS Sports will broadcast nearly 300 regular season games this fall on CBS, Paramount+ and CBS Sports Network, marking its 44th consecutive season of college basketball, including 15 automatic berths into the NCAA men’s and women’s tournaments. CBS Sports has been the broadcaster of the NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament since 1982 and has partnered with TNT Sports since 2012.
