INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts lost their third straight game with Sunday’s 30-20 loss to the Bills, but cornerback Kenny Moore II knows time is running out to fix the team’s problems. And those issues extend beyond the quarterback dilemma, Moore said Sunday.
“I don’t think everyone is giving it their all, but it’s clearly showing,” said Moore, a 2021 Pro Bowl selection and one of the team’s longest-tenured players. “I’m not the type to bring it to the surface. I don’t think there’s an urgency to it, to be honest. I don’t think the details are there. … Everything from meetings to practices to games. “I don’t think there is a correlation between the two.” is displayed.
The Colts started 0-2, but went on to win four of their next five games. Since then, they’ve lost back-to-back games to the Houston Texans, Minnesota Vikings and, on Sunday, the Bills. Moore doesn’t like the lack of consistency.
“You have to define yourself,” he added. “We have to define the identity of the team. We have to look at ourselves in the mirror and ask ourselves how much we want it. And to be honest, it’s about turning the page. …What’s frustrating is that things end up leaking into the next week.
“Your greatness is the same as your last performance. But if you go out on the field again, you have a chance to change that narrative. But when you go out there and make the same mistakes over and over again, I think “That’s what drives me crazy. ”

Although Moore did not name names in the rant, it was a notable comment for a player who is usually judged by his words.
“We should just start addressing the problem, not tinkering with it or glossing over it,” he said. “I think that’s what we’re missing. And to be honest, it’s the same thing every year.”
Another consistent issue for the Colts is the quarterback question. And in Sunday’s game, veteran Joe Flacco performed in a way that made manager Shane Steichen question his decision to bench Anthony Richardson for the second year in a row. There was no clear point regarding this.
The day started with a pick-six on Flacco’s first pass attempt, which Bills cornerback Taron Johnson scored from 23 yards to go. It was the first of four turnovers on the day for Flacco, who had three interceptions and a lost fumble.
“Terrible decision,” Flacco said of the first interception.
Some fans in the Lucas Oil Stadium crowd could be heard booing throughout the day after the first interception and after various failures by Indianapolis’ offense.
“We have to give them something to cheer them up,” Steichen said.
Steichen was furious in his postgame press conference about Flacco’s situation and whether he would consider changing the lineup. But he indicated that nothing was coming.
“Right now, Joe is our guy,” Steichen said.
Flacco’s performance with the Bills came a week after the Colts struggled in a loss to the Vikings, a game in which they set season lows in total yards, points of offense and first downs.
Richardson, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 draft, was benched after his sixth start of the season with the idea that the Colts could make a run in the postseason. However, they are 0-2 since the change, and their fans let them know that on Sunday.
“This is a humiliating match,” Flacco said of the boos. “This league is tough.”
