Butler issued a Stern warning to Riley before the Warriors-Heat game, originally appeared in the NBC Sports Bay Area
Jimmy Butler has made it clear enough where he stands with Pat Reilly, president of the Miami Heat.
While it’s no secret that his relationship with the star forward in the months leading up to a smash hit trade with the Warriors on February 5th, Butler, now removed from the trade deadline for more than six weeks, appears to have not spoken to his former boss.

Butler spoke with TNT’s Taylor Lukes before Tuesday’s defeat to the Heat at Kaseya Center, and was asked by Lukes how he hopes to meet Riley when he returns to Miami.
“I have nothing to say to putt. Pat has nothing to say to me,” Butler told Lukes.
Message received.
Butler and Riley’s relationship got worse when Butler was halted multiple times by his team earlier this season and eventually demanded trade in Miami. Butler reportedly viewed Riley’s actions during the saga as “indifference” and “intrusive” after Riley had a private meeting in tears.

The Heat praised Butler in a tribute video before Tuesday’s game, and while the Warriors star has only love for Miami fans and his former teammates, it’s clear that there’s still a hostility between him and Riley.
