StoryLabs is offering a community-based workspace in Atascadero starting in 2021. The newest location opened in March 2024 following a six-month restoration project of the Decou Lumber building, which had been in operation since 1950.
Partner Greg Squires describes his company’s unique business as a place where local employees can have a productive and collaborative workspace, while “remote workers and small businesses can enjoy private suites, dedicated A place where you can access desks, flex memberships, and private meeting rooms to help you accomplish your goals.” Connect and get work done. ”

The new store will serve more than 80 people and is “part of a broader development of The Co-op building on El Camino Real,” Greg explains. “This broader facility is designed to help people connect, learn and create, offering industrial workspace and makerspace near StoryLabs professional offices.
“The response from the community has been very encouraging and reflects the significant number of remote workers and small businesses in our region who are looking for connection and community.”
StoryLabs has instilled the belief that “more connected communities are more vibrant societies and drive more prosperous economies.” While caring for its members, it also facilitates talent development workshops, organizes business development workshops and creates “coaching and capital connections for entrepreneurs and emerging local leaders,” he added. .
Recently, members held a lunch meeting to share their accomplishments and later received positive feedback, which is often in short supply as remote workers. While coworking, which allows remote workers and small businesses to have an affordable and productive space to get work done, is a key service, they are “aiming to be more than that.”
