Business Showcase in progress
The Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce’s 16th annual Business Showcase, “More Sequim Grows,” is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 4:30-6:30 p.m., at Sunland Golf & Country Club, 109 Hilltop Dr.
This event is a public exhibition showcasing products and services offered by local businesses and organizations. The event is free and open to the public.
Organizers say the showcase will feature fun activities, food and drinks, show-and-tell and games.

Camp and Car holds third open house
Camp N Car, founded and owned by Steve Moore and Martin Nerbovig of Sequim, will host an open house on Saturday, Oct. 19, from noon to 5 p.m., at 13 Workman St. Suite C in Port Townsend.
The free event will feature a wide range of the company’s converted campervans on display and will be an opportunity for travel enthusiasts to meet and socialise in the community, the owners said.

For Sale: Port Books and News
Cindy and Alan Turner have announced that they are offering Port Book and News for sale.
The store is located at 104 E. First St., just two blocks from the Black Ball Ferry Terminal.
The bookstore has been in downtown Port Angeles for 38 years and has been named the “Best Place to Buy Books” in Clallam County for 25 of the 27 years the Peninsula Daily News has had its Best of the Peninsula list.
The store features a carefully selected collection of over 30,000 books and regularly stocks a variety of merchandise, including gifts, socks, games, educational materials, jigsaw puzzles, stuffed animals, art supplies and free dog treats for all dogs who bring their pets into the store.

Fair Seeks Beer Garden Vendors
The Clallam County Fair is seeking Beer Garden Vendors for 2025. Beer Garden Vendor Concession Services must be a non-profit organization.
The beer gardens are spread throughout the fairgrounds and are located near the rodeo arena. They open one hour before the rodeo starts and close one hour after the rodeo ends.
The deadline is October 31, 2025. Nonprofits who wish to apply should contact Laurie Davies at laurieanndavies@aol.com, who will send them information.
