Comedian Bill Maher has denounced the unpaid day protest, which cited the economic blackout protest of “SO F —–silly” as his panel suggested Democrats would understand how to win the election.
“This is what’s called the People’s Union USA. And they have something called – today I got an email from people about this – it goes against the malicious influence of both billionaires, big businesses and major political parties on the lives of working Americans.” “And what it is is to avoid fast food in stores or online and refrain from buying to avoid gas. A whole day! I know!
According to the Associated Press, a group called the People’s Union USA organized an economic blackout on Friday, February 28th to protest large businesses and the entire system.
Maher is joined by former Democrat Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel and CNN host Farred Zakaria.

Bill Maher laments that everything in the government is “broken,” but he is sure Trump is not the answer.
“That’s why I was saying there was a real movement of people doing interpretive dances to protest the Trump administration’s cuts to USAID,” Zacharia said. “I mean, like people are starving. You know, as you said, as you said, as you said, you leave this kind of absurdity. The answer is to understand how to win an election.”
Zacharias specifically suggested that Democrats look to former President Bill Clinton and Barack Obama for guidance on how to win the election, as Democrats are the only two Democrats who have served two terms since Roosevelt.
“Bernie Sanders didn’t win. The AOC didn’t become president recently,” Zacharia pointed out.
Emmanuel agreed and provided an example.
“Breaking the news, 100,000 new community police officers, or police refund? Who do you think will work now?” Emmanuel said.

Emmanuel also denounced the Democrats.
“The only way you’re going to be really obsessed with where the party went, being trapped in the politics of identity, if you’re somehow hurt,” he said. “And that’s insane.”

The former Chicago mayor also targeted Chicago leaders during the show, accusing the government of becoming too “tolerant” about crime and sticking to niche liberal issues such as trans bathroom policies rather than addressing education standards.
