*Five-star QB Bryce Underwood has been in the news all week since the University of Michigan stepped up efforts to expel him from LSU. As the playoffs begin this weekend in Michigan, Underwood put on a clinic showing why he is one of the top prospects in the nation.
*Nebraska State will have another chance to earn a bowl berth for the first time in eight years when they play UCLA today. The team released weekly hype videos centered around process reliability.
*2026 rising defensive back JJ Dunnigan recently received his first offer from the SEC when Missouri plays this week. The Kansas State native is scheduled to travel to Iowa State to play against Wisconsin on Saturday. But before that visit, he showed why he has become a hot commodity among college coaches.
*Penn State coach James Franklin appeared on College GameDay Saturday morning ahead of the big game against Ohio State. The Nittany Lions are expected to have nearly 100 recruits for this game.
*Penn State started the game day strong. 2026 four-star safety Matt Sieg announced his commitment to the program. He had visited campus at least 10 times during his recruiting career, so it was no surprise that he made it official.
Check out the analysis from the Penn State team site.
*Received a text from 2026 5-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell. He arrived for a visit to Miami. The elite tackle prospect added a trip to Miami this weekend and was looking forward to being with coach Mario Cristobal and offensive line coach Alex Mirabel. Cantwell said visitation has been strong so far.
*Purdue’s field and recruiting path has been tough this season. Recently, their commitment list has been raided. Currently, the team’s highest-rated player is four-star linebacker Grant Biermann. He is from Ohio and told me he is currently visiting Illinois.
I expect him to check out several schools before making a final decision on where to play his college football this season.
Michigan State welcomes several four-star prospects from the Southeast this week. That includes an official visit from four-star DT Christian Ingram. Ingram officially visited Kentucky last week and picked up an offer from Lou Esposito while Michigan’s DL coach was on the road to Georgia last month. Georgia and South Carolina are two more additions, and the four-star DT will visit the Big House for the first time this weekend.

Four-star wide receiver Jacob Washington will make his third visit to Ann Arbor since declaring for the Wolverines in June. The Big House will return for a second game this fall as schools continue to acquire the speedster from The Boot a little bit ahead of his senior season at Marrero (La.) Shaw, including Missouri State. The possibility of visiting is looming large.

*Early 2027 five-star wide receiver Boobie Feaster arrived in Lincoln for today’s Nebraska vs. UCLA game. There is a lot of talent on hand to see if the Huskers can become bowl eligible. Feaster has offers from all over the country, but recently narrowed it down to his top 18, including Nebraska.

*Another player who could be of interest at Penn State this weekend is Georgia defensive back Jaron Copeland. The top three-star player is on campus this weekend, and officials told Rivals that the visit could lead to a commitment sooner rather than later.
