Perhaps unsurprisingly, the most highly regarded jobs in Nevada are related to entertainment and gaming, one of the Silver State’s largest industries. U.S. News & World Report created these ratings based on reader surveys that ranked workplace priorities by importance. It identified six factors: quality of pay, work-life balance, stability, comfort, sense of belonging, and professional development.
US News also used data from Revelio Labs, Good Jobs First, and publicly available benefit information. Workplaces are scored on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest rating.
Reno didn’t make the list of best jobs in Nevada, but seven jobs in southern Nevada did. According to US News and World Report, the top workplaces in Nevada are:

Allegiant: Las Vegas company received a 5 score for quality of pay, work-life balance, sense of belonging and professional development. It received 4 points for comfort and 3 points for stability. Boyd Gaming: This Las Vegas gaming company received a score of 5 for stability and belonging, but lower in other categories. It received a score of 4 for quality of pay and 3 for professional development and amenities. Employer: This Henderson Insurance Company received a 5 for Stability and Belonging. It received a score of 4 for quality of pay, work-life balance, and comfort. The lowest score, 3, was in the professional development area. Everi: Las Vegas hotel, restaurant and leisure company received a 5 for quality of pay, 4 for stability, comfort and belonging, and 3 and 2 for work-life balance. Professional development. Las Vegas Sands: Las Vegas Sands, another hotel, restaurant and leisure company in Las Vegas, received a five-point score for quality of pay and professional development. It also received a score of 4 for stability and comfort, 3 for work-life balance, and 2 for sense of belonging. Light and Wonder: This Las Vegas hotel, restaurant and leisure company received a 5 for pay quality and work-life balance, and a 4 for stability. PlayStudios: This Las Vegas consumer products and services company received a 5 for quality of pay, stability, comfort, and sense of belonging. Scored a 4 for work-life balance and a 3 for professional development.
