U.S. News & World Report just released its 2025 rankings for elementary and middle schools in each state, and several local schools score highly on New Hampshire’s list, including two in Portsmouth.
Several other local schools also made the top 10 list.
The digital media company used data from the U.S. Department of Education to create rankings of more than 70,000 public schools based on four metrics: math proficiency, reading comprehension, math achievement, and reading comprehension. The schools analyzed were then given a score based on a formula that took into account four criteria and socio-economic background.
