U.S. News & World Report just released its 2025 rankings for elementary and middle schools in each state, and Connecticut’s list features districts such as New Canaan Public Schools and Greenwich Public Schools.
The digital media company used data from the U.S. Department of Education to create rankings of more than 70,000 public schools based on four metrics: math proficiency, reading comprehension, math achievement, and reading comprehension. The schools analyzed were then given a score based on a formula that took into account four criteria and socio-economic background.
